Essence one but approaches different

All religions try to benefit people, with the same basic message of the need for love and compassion, for justice and honesty, for God can be realized through all paths. All religions are true. The important thing is to reach the roof. You can reach it by stone stairs or by wooden stairs or by bamboo steps or by a rope. You can also climb up by a bamboo pole. Such ideas are popular in today’s so-called tolerant or pluralistic society. In fact, those who think otherwise are often viewed as narrow-minded, even bigoted. What is your opinion? Do you feel that all religions ultimately lead to the same God? Does it matter which faith a person belongs to?

God, through His Messengers, has adapted His one religion to meet the needs of each age in which it has been revealed—so the major world religions are like many chapters of one book. If a chapter were missing, the book would be incomplete.

Religions are classified into many such as Hinduism, Islam, Sikhism, Christianity, Jainism, Buddhism etc……… They are different from every religion but our God is only one. God has many faces but he is only one. God is seen as Allah, Ishwar and many but he is one only one…….. He sees everyone by one eye and shower equally upon us his blessings and he equally punish wrong doer. God never does discrimination but we do that. God can’t differentiate his children but we do that. So, God is one and one…

I truly believe that all religions have something worthwhile to teach, but each of us ultimately decides what we will believe in and what we will not. It doesn’t matter what religion you are a part of, I guarantee that there are certain tenets of your religion that you disagree with. That’s because YOUR beliefs are subjective and are actually only between you and God, and no one else.

The religion you are a part of simply fore fills MOST of your spiritual needs, but not all. It is just comforting being in an organised religion where we know that everyone who honestly adheres to most of our religion’s beliefs will be blessed and allowed into heaven. In the end though, you will answer to God, not your religion but for your beliefs.

It is my opinion that Our God is tolerant of all religions. He doesn’t care that humans have devised so many ways to worship him. It is my belief that there is only one God. He is called by many names and worshipped in many ways by different religions, BUT he will judge each of us using the exact same criteria that will not be based upon any particular religion’s beliefs. It will be based upon our relationships with each other and the type of lives we lived. Until everyone recognises that each of us contains the true religion within ourselves, because it unites us all as one with God, we will never have peace within ourselves or with each other. These are the things that God will ultimately judge us by. So, worship God as your heart tells you to and search for the answers you need to satisfy the questions you have, but please “Do not blame God for man’s mistakes”.

Pilgrimage– Admirable remedy for over fastidiousness and sickly refinement

Man is a spiritual and a physical being. He was given an intellect, a free will and a broad spectrum of spiritual experiences. Man carries in himself a profound longing for self-realization. He continuously seeks this realization and what he is searching for can be explained in this manner: Man is a being who longs for peace. That is why, one can say, without a doubt, that a person’s home is where he finds ‘his peace’. The search for peace is the main motive of every human activity, and that, for his entire life.

People go on pilgrimage in the hope of finding something that this world, with all its pleasures and skills, cannot provide. The heart is ever restless and searching, ever ‘on pilgrimage’ until it finds the God who makes sense of all things and who answers all the cravings of the human spirit. We go on pilgrimage in the hope of finding or preserving this gift of peace within us.

According to the Bible, man stands between the recollection of life in Paradise and the internal need for eternal peace, promised already on earth, but only revealed in the Eternal Kingdom of God, the kingdom of peace, justice and truth. Shrines or approved places of apparitions are like stations or stopping places on the pilgrimage of life. What makes them holy, is above all the prayer and penance, the reconciliation and conversion of a countless number of pilgrims.  The reason is that journeying to a holy place brings the pilgrim hope of a deeper encounter with the living God and new hope and energy for the onward journey. Just as a person who is ill goes to a hospital or clinic hoping for a cure, pilgrims journey to a shrine in the hope of being relieved of the consequences of sin and of deepening or regaining divine friendship and spiritual health.

In other words, on the one hand, man comes to the place of pilgrimage with his wishes, but burdened with his difficulties and his sins and their consequences. That is why it is necessary to make it possible for him to remember to see everything in the light of God’s love and mercy and to experience the truth of Jesus’ words calling all those who labor and are burdened to come to Him, so that He can give them rest and peace.

This is what motivates a person to abandon his everyday life and to turn towards such places. God first offers man His presence with the intention that, in his search for this loving presence, he will find Him. In the experience of this loving presence, Man will empirically experience liberation from the burdens, which accumulated on his earthly pilgrimage as a result of his own weakness and sinfulness, as well as the sins of the others. After one has experienced the liberation from the burden of one’s sins and their consequences, one should follow the experience of peace, joy, love, hope and trust and should accept the presence of the Lord in one’s life.

7 Natural Health Benefits of Making Time To Meditate Everyday

What if I told you that you have access to a tool that could essentially give you superpowers?

A few of these superpowers include better concentration, lower stress levels, and an overall clearer mindset.

The best part is that this tool is immediately accessible at any time at any place. You’ve likely heard meditation being touted as a magic fix-all tool in the health and spirituality communities, and for good reason.

We often put ourselves in a wonderful dystopia of scattered thoughts, latent stresses, and otherwise poorly channeled energies. Few recommendations are better than meditation for these woes purely because meditation is able to tackle all of them at once, and is so simple to get started.

  1. Significantly Decrease Stress Levels

Have you ever heard of Boiling Frog Syndrome?

The premise is that if a frog is dropped into a pot of boiling water, it will instinctively jump out. If a frog is dropped into a pot of cool water that gradually increases in temperature, it will stay in until it is boiled alive. Since the change in temperature is so gradual and nearly imperceptible, the frog doesn’t immediately perceive the danger ahead.

Humans are very subject to Boiling Frog Syndrome. Humans have a natural propensity to get stressed, and much of this stress is hard to recognize at first. A sudden stressful event like a car accident or loss of a loved one is clear to pinpoint for a sudden increase in stress levels. A more subtle factor, such as a career that is no longer fulfilling, is very hard to pinpoint.

These minor stressors add up, and without proper self-care, can have a lasting effect on the human brain. Meditation offers us a perfect solace to check in and distance ourselves from the daily storm of things that may or may not be stressing us out. By bringing down stress levels, we are able to gain more perspective on what is causing us stress, and make less erratic decisions that will ultimately benefit us in the long run.

2. Supercharge Your Brain

A 2011 Harvard study published in the Psychiatry Research journal found that participants who had no previous experience with mindfulness training showed a significant increase in gray matter. This study found that in just 8 weeks, brain size increased in the left hippocampus (responsible for learning ability and information retention), the posterior cingulate cortex (responsible control of how your mind wanders), and the temporo parietal junction (responsible for empathy)

Mind

The growth of gray matter in different brain regions helps to give your brain a boost in everything from emotional regulation, learning capacity, and memory. The key to seeing these benefits is to commit to and extended meditation practice that spans multiple weeks. The time you take to meditate every day adds up and allows your brain to build this helpful gray matter.

3. Slow Down Aging

A study by Sara Lazar, a researcher at Harvard University, found that meditation can change brain physiology to slow aging. Since meditation can add gray matter and more brain cells, meditators are able to preserve cognition at a much better rate than non-meditators.

Reference Source [https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1361002/]

Meditators also have longer telomeres (the caps on chromosomes that show the biological age). To say that meditation can lengthen life may not have sufficient evidence (yet), but the stress reducing and cognitive benefits of meditation allow meditators to live more fulfilled lives.

4. Improve Your Overall Health

Meditation can naturally reduce the stress chemical cortisol. This chemical is released during the “fight or flight” response, that is often triggered by daily stressors. Unnatural levels of cortisol can interfere with memory and learning, immune function, blood pressure, bone density, and can even cause heart disease.

Along with exercise, meditation is one of the only other ways to naturally reduce cortisol. This reduction in cortisol not only allows us to live happier lives, it also prevents us from exacerbating or influencing negative health conditions.

5. May Decrease Need for Sleep

Sometimes getting a full 8 hours of sleep is tough for some people. Strenuous careers can ask a lot from us while we are working, as well as when we’re at home. Meditation isn’t exactly a sleep replacement, but studies have found that it helps to people get more out of the sleep they do get.

Reference Source [https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2919439/]

Research at University of Kentucky found that meditation provides a short-term performance improvement, even in beginners. In the long-term meditators, multiple hours spent in a meditative state were associated with a significant decrease in their total time spent sleeping.

6. Reduce Blood Pressure

Clinical studies have found that regular meditation among ⅔ of high blood pressure patients helped to drop their blood pressure significantly after three months of meditation. With lower blood pressure comes less of a need for medication. The relaxation from the meditation helps your body form nitric oxide, which in turn opens up your blood vessels.

Blood pressure

A reduction in blood pressure also helps to keep your cardiovascular system healthy, putting less of a strain on your heart and keeping you at a lesser risk for heart disease.

7. Reduce the Risk of Alzheimer’s

A study published in the brain, Behavior, and Immunity journal found that only 30 minutes of daily meditation reduced a sense of loneliness, as well as the risk of a myriad of different woes including heart disease, depression, and Alzheimer’s.

Final Thoughts

Many meditators recommend starting off with an intense focus on your breathing. There are also several other ways that can help get you in a calm and more tranquil state. Essential oils, for example, can help your body to naturally calm down and relax your brain, thus making it easier to succumb to a meditative state. Essential oils can be used in an incredibly wide variety of ways, start here with this Guide to Using Essential Oils for some ideas of how to begin – from aromatherapy for meditation, to calm topical applications for muscle tension relief, these are just some of the potential benefits.

The above benefits are only a handful of what meditation could possibly do for you. While it is very easy to get started, it is just like any other habit and takes some consistent practice in order to see improvements in your ability as well as these natural health benefits.

Top 7 Mantras To Attain Tranquility

Do you really think that something in this world can be a source of calmness? Is there really a permanency in searching pacification besides your own whereabouts? Umm.. I doubt. Calmness is a phenomenon when you start controlling your brain instead of vice-versa.  Chant few positive mantras and recall almighty in-between your packed schedules. As soon as you begin asking yourself the question “why”, I swear you will stop uttering those harsh words along with putting an end to those un-required deeds. The more you give attention to what you are doing, lesser you do something wrong thereby attaining a mental peace.

 2. Control your anger

Just be quiet when you feel like emanating poison during the temporal anger phase. The spoken words have a lifelong impact upon the speaker and the listener. They leave a deep scar that becomes a cause of regret and restlessness.

Tranquility

 3. Spend your resources on helping others

It’s quite  nice to be penny wise, but acting miser is a different thing. You must not try to always be self centred and keep accumulating the resources you have. Spend it on others. It shall make them happy and attracted more people towards you.

 5. Be open

The more secretive and hideous you are,  the more complicated shall things be for you. It becomes really difficult to battle the problems of life alone. By sharing your problems with others, you will at least have a light heart. Moreover, there are so many good people on this earth who may lend a helping hand in times of need.

Tranquility

The Third Eye Of Lord Shiva: A Source Of Inquisitiveness

Lord Shiva has a totally distinct identity amongst all Hindu Gods. He is known to be an epitome of innocence and compassion. He is the father of the universe and is known to be the protector of the world. There are many mythologies linked with him that prove how karma can catch hold of you no matter how smart you are. Just by enchanting the name of lord Shiva, a human can get rid of all his bad karmas and potential punishments.

Lord Shiva is manifested with various interesting symbols like snakes, moon, Ganga, drum and the powerful Third eye. Each symbolic of lord Shiva has an interesting storyline behind it. The third eye of lord Shiva not only represents a destructive force but also power and wisdom. Shiva rarely opens his third eye, but when he does, it is a sure transmutation; a transmutation for a betterment and eradication of evil.

After the demise of sati, lord Shiva was grief stricken and vowed never to remarry. He left his cave and went on the Himalayas for meditation. Sati took a rebirth and was all set to marry lord Shiva. But, despite all the efforts of Gods and Goddess, it was not possible to bring Shiva out of his meditation.

Lord Shiva

All the Gods together planned and sent Kama (the God of love and desire), to lure lord Shiva for Pārbati. The Kama hit lord Shiva with an arrow which resulted in opening of his third eye followed by the destruction of Kama. The third eye of Shiva henceforth represents the outright rejection of the worldly desires. He had a pure dedication to his first love that was unbreakable by any form of distraction.

Another story in which we come to know about the significance of lord Shiva’s third eye includes; Goddess Pārbati playfully closed both the eyes of Shiva and the world indulged, darkness and bewilderedness. In order to provide light to the world, lord Shiva opened his third eye. The heat of his eye made the palms of Pārbati perspire and a drop of sweat fell over the earth in form of a little child. That baby was named as Andhaka. He was adopted by one of the devotees of lord Shiva. Also, he was given a boon that he will die only when he shall aspire for a woman.

On receiving the boon, Andhaka tried conquering the world. In the midst of his venture, he chased Pārbati and got engrossed in her beauty. He was subsequently killed by lord Shiva. The third eye of lord Shiva does not signify just one thing. It has whole lots of hidden meanings behind it. The eye redirects the humans towards the path of knowledge, sacredness, wisdom and power. There is a lot to be learned from the stories of lord Shiva.

Is The Concept Of Sin Relevant In Today’s World?

Is The Concept Of Sin Relevant In Today’s World? The question which has been raised and discussed upon numerous times. It is written in the book of Genesis of the Bible. After being made In the Image of God the primary humans were formed. The report records a trade with a ‘serpent’. The serpent has dependably been all around comprehended to be Satan – a Spirit foe to God. Through the Bible, Satan typically entices to evil by talking through someone else. For this situation, he talked through a serpent. It is recorded thusly.

The impacts of Sin so visible today

This clarifies such a large amount of human life that we misjudge. This is the reason that wherever individuals require locks for their entryways, they require police, legal advisors, and encryption passwords for managing an account – because in our present state we steal from each other. This is the reason domains and social orders all in the long run decay and fall – in light of the fact that the residents in every one of these realms tend to rot.

Sin

This is the reason after attempting all types of government and financial systems, and however, some work superior to others, each political or monetary system appears to be inevitable to scrunch up on it- because the general population living these philosophies has inclinations which in the end drag the entire system down.

This is the reason, however, our era is the most taught that has ever existed and despite everything, we have these issues since it goes considerably more profound than our level of education. This is the reason we distinguish so well with the petition of the Pratasana mantram – in light of the fact that it depicts us so well.

Sin – To “miss” the Target

This is the same why no religion has completely achieved their vision for society – however, neither have the skeptical ones (think about Stalin’s Soviet Union, Mao’s China, Pol Pot’s Cambodia) – because something about the way we tend to make us miss our vision. In fact, that word “miss” sums up our circumstance. A verse from the Bible gives a photo that has helped me comprehend this better.

Terrible News of “SIN” – An issue of Truth not Preference

This dishonoured and missed-the-objective picture of mankind is not lovely, it is not feel-good, nor is it idealistic. Throughout the years I have had individuals respond emphatically against this specific teaching. There was a student at a college in Canada taking a look at a person with awesome outrage saying, “No one doesn’t trust you since you don’t care for what you are stating”. Presently everyone dislikes it, but concentrate on that is to miss the important point actually. What does “enjoying” something have anything to do with whether it is valid or not? Everyone don’t care for assessments, wars, AIDS, and earthquakes – nobody does – however that does not make them leave, and neither can forget about any of them.

Sin
Every one of the frameworks of law, police, locks, keys, security and so on that we have worked in all social orders to shield ourselves from each different suggests that something isn’t right. The way that celebrations, for example, the Kumbh Mela attract many millions to ‘wash our wrongdoings away’ demonstrates that everyone realises that somehow have “missed” the objective. The way that the idea of yield as a necessity for paradise is found in all religions is a sign that something about us is wrong. These views to be should be considered in a neutral way.
